BLACK CABBAGE - Baby leaf Kale

Black cabbage has strap like leaves which have an "embossed texture". Its taste is described as "slightly sweeter and more delicate than curly kale." Leaves are a dark blue green and can be included in stir fry and coleslaw mixes. Can be grown all year round.

CHOUVERT - Baby leaf Kale

A fairly hardy, flavoursome, nutritious greens type originating from Ethiopian Mustard. Leaves are tender if cut young 15-20cm. Plants are fairly quick growing with a mild cabbage flavour and leaves have less wax than standard kale lines. Used as French kale.

COSSACK - Baby leaf Kale

Cossack is a kale with broad, frilly leaves, which are a grey blue green with distinct purple veins. This variety produces a crop with good leaf weight. It is ideal for the baby leaf and bunching markets, and is suited to year round production.

Danube is a broad kale with a frilly leaf margin and good leaf weight. The leaves are a blue, grey green colour. Danube is suitable for the baby leaf and bunching market and can be harvested all year round.

DOUX - Baby leaf Kale

Doux kale is faster growing and higher yielding than traditional curly kale. The flavour is also milder and sweeter. Plants have attractive, upright, rather dark green leaves. TZAR - Baby leaf Kale

Tzar is a Red Russian Kale with a mild cabbage flavour. Leaves are a flat large indented oak shape, a grey green colour with a subtle red colouration to mid rib and veins. Tzar is fast growing and can be grown all year round for the baby leaf or bunching markets.
